Education

From Denstone College (alumni@denstonecollege.com).

  • It is extremely useful when researching ODs on behalf of their families who are putting together family research/family trees
  • Our ODs are enjoying having access to the material via us, and re-living their school memories
  • It has become useful to the History department when looking in to research, in particular WW1 history, as part of the curriculum

From Emma Wotton, Alumni Development Consultant, Kings School Tynemouth (emma.wotton1@btinternet.com)

The digitisation of school photos and magazines by House of Images has made a wealth of material easily accessible to former pupils and others interested in the history of the King’s School Tynemouth. Enquiries which would have otherwise taken weeks to research can be answered quickly and photos and magazines can be easily emailed. An invaluable tool for researchers and a great time saver for the Alumni Office.

Image Digitisation
HoI have been digitizing images and documents since 1995 and in the education sector we have scanned images for Queen Elizabeth Grammar School Blackburn, Kings School Tynemouth and Denstone College. We are able to digitize large format whole school photographs.

Website Design and Hosting
HoI provide a service to design and set up websites to display school magazines, images and documents. An example of such a site can be seen at www.qegs-archive-images.org.uk Sites can be designed to work on a stand alone basis or can be set up as part of an existing site.
